Leith St Andrew’s Trust Membership Drive
As you may know, Leith St Andrew’s Trust is a charity which has been set up to try to buy the former Leith St Andrew’s Church and keep it in community ownership. [NB – it’s not linked to the Church] This would enable current groups to continue to use the building, as well as ensuring the future of the building as a much needed community space.
The Trust needs to show potential funders that it has the support of the community and that 20% of the local community are members. To do this, they need as many people as possible who live in this area to sign up as members in the next couple of weeks. It only costs £1 and involves no further commitment to become involved unless, of course, you want to. Have a look at the map above and if you, or your friends or family live in the purple area, please consider joining. Or check the postcode list. These postcodes are all reflected in the postcode checker which is embedded in the membership link below.
The Trust needs members only from these postcodes for now. In the near future, anyone else will be able to join as an associate member. Please encourage any resident of Leith to use the link to access the postcode checker and join if they can.
